Metlife Stadium

As a Senior Interior Designer with EwingCole, Christina Casile was the lead interior designer for what both the New York Jets and New York Giants call home, Metlife Stadium. The new 82,500-seat, 2.1 million sq ft stadium, one of the league’s largest venues, and the only one home to two professional teams in the same sport.

These unique challenges to create a stadium hosting two sports teams in the same sport posed some interesting design considerations and novel solutions. The project took 4 years and required coordination with many partners such as 360 Architecture, Rockwell Group, and Bruce Mau Design, Inc., that had various responsibilities in this project.

Constructed entirely from private funds, the stadium for the NFL’s Giants and Jets features club seats, suites, and other premier seating and offers 200,000 sq ft of year-round retail and dining space including a hall of fame and team store.
